Pappadeaux

It was not a typical dine-out day (Wednesday), despite a torrential rain storm with high wind, despite 10+ miles long traffic jam on I-290, five city dwellers were determined this was the night to venture out to the suburbs for the yummiest seafood of the season –

Yes the crawfish! Oh, baby, aren’t they good! And the pecan pie with ice cream!

They made spending the 1+ hour quality time in the car in soaking wet clothes with a 4.5 years old singing out of tune “lean on me” all so endurable! [I hope :-)]

When the time came to tally the results – it was 6 pounds crawfish vs. two ladies with great appetite. Unquestionably the ladies had the upper hand! (The two men opted out early citing “too messy too much work”, and the 4.5 year old thinks crawfish are for playing not for eating.)

Can you believe this all begins with an out-of-nowhere craving on Tuesday night? But after some Google searches and one quick phone call, the venue and the dinner party were all set! For that, Dave/Ling, I should borrow the quote from the 4.5 years old at the end of the night “thank you for coming with us” (at such a short notice). It was a great night out with great friends and great food at a great restaurant.

Good Writing, Shannon! I love Crawfish too and went to that Restaurant before with Zhiyuan. Not too far from us. Should have let us know :).

不好意思,俺对郊区的方位感很糟,所以以为westmont离你们老远的。下次一定唤上,人多热闹啊。
